Respiratory diseases and lung disorders are a leading cause of mortality in developing countries. It is also one of the main cause of illness in children in developed countries. Asthma and allergies are constantly increasing in the UK.
'Hugs for Lungs' was created in 2014 by founder Helen Ross. Helens son suffers from a rare and life threatening lung condition where his airways become compressed and breathing stops when he lies down, due to narrow and floppy airways.
With your help we raise much needed funds to offer a 24-hour support line to families of children affected by lung disorders and respiratory difficulties.
At night when the disorders can get their worse and there are not anyone else available, we will be there to support you.
At any time during the year, you can help us help other families, whether it's a fundraising coffee morning, boot sale or sporting event we will offer support the whole way.
